The Stories and Story Sharing project will be part of the International Year of Giftedness and Creativity. Initially, we will approach some of our outstanding Conference contributors to share some of their wisdom, both before and after the conference, as well as reflections from those who participated in same. Additionally and subsequently, we will also be looking for your stories of giftedness, creativity, education and advocacy. We’ll be interested the lived experiences of gifted children and their parents, and of people in advocacy, research or education, will all have a part to play.
In the course of our online planning for the Stories and Story Sharing project, we spent some time on a very worthwhile tangent exploring what has worked in terms of getting sponsorship for gifted programmes in different countries. The contrasts in our experiences led to some new thinking. Sharing such experiences as a springboard for new thinking is at the heart of what the Stories and Story Sharing project is about.
We’ll be calling for material soon, using some broad monthly themes, but we will apply these flexibly, according to the content offered.
